Bananas
Bananas are elongated, edible fruits produced by large herbaceous plants of the genus Musa. Predominantly the Cavendish variety in the UK, they are harvested green and ripened using ethylene gas. Highly convenient and nutrient-dense, they provide a significant source of potassium, vitamin B6, and quick-release energy through natural sugars.
