Quince

Quinces peak from October to December.

They are a strictly seasonal autumn fruit and are rarely imported outside of this window. Because they are almost always cooked rather than eaten raw, they are typically found in greengrocers and specialist shops during the late autumn months and are largely unavailable for the rest of the year.
