Lychees

Lychees peak from November to February.

While a secondary, smaller harvest occurs in the summer (primarily from China and Thailand), the bulk of high-quality imports arrives in winter from South Africa and Madagascar. They are rarely available fresh outside of these windows as they spoil rapidly.
