Barley Water

Commercial barley water is a shelf-stable cordial available year-round. Consisting primarily of water and approximately 20% sugar, it contains only trace amounts (around 2.5%) of barley flour for texture. While marketed as a traditional tonic, it functions as a sugary fruit squash, providing quick-release carbohydrates and consistent hydration.
